The
Rocking JL2 Ranch (JL2) is a beef cattle breeding operation
in north, Florida owned by the J. Luis Rodriguez family. The JL2 is
breeding registered Black Angus cattle using exceptional females and
the latest genetics such as Artificial Insemination (AI)
and Embryo Transplant (ET). The JL2 strives to breed
animals of superior quality for the Florida climate.
In
a joint arrangement with Trans
Tech Ag Corp.(TTAG), an
agricultural consulting and research company established in 1983 with
offices in Tallahassee and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, TTAG will provide
management and technical assistance to the Rocking JL2 Ranch.
Our
program is one of production and effective record keeping using PRI
and AHIR records. Our cows are selected for their pedigree as well as
their maternal traits such as early maturity and high fertility. Most
of our registered Angus cows are from the Blackcap, Skymere and Ideal
families. These are daughters of GT Maximum, Bar Traveler, Ext, Lucys
Boy and other top bulls in the breed. We are breeding these cows to
some of the best bulls in the breed such as White Oak Precise 602, Rockn
D Ambush, Leachman Saugahatchee 300, New Design 878 and Famous 7001
TTAG
and JL2 will also participate in a joint venture breeding Commercial
Angus-influenced cattle in a cow/calf operation near Monticello,
Florida. JL2 has offeredfor saleregistered
Angus cattle since August 2004.
